I've arranged with Autoglaze, Gloucester (not Autoglass, who would only do a screen renewal) to remove, reseal and refit the old screen which is only 6 years old. Even if I'm wrong and its not the screen, I'm going to have it done anyway as its never been right to the point where the original Orangutan who fitted it, got it so skewed that the seal wouldn't fit. He palmed me off with a bit of tractor seal and a fairy story about the replacement OEM seal being too stiff

The interesting thing about this story is that the very nice lady at Auto Glaze said, "Have you got a spare screen just in case?" I said no, so I want your best man on the job, not some spotty lad on work experience!"
She said, "It might be best if we can get a spare if we need one" I said "they're as rare as hens teeth!" She said, "I'll call you back" She did and she said she could get one no probs. I said, that's good, there's not many about". She said, "We have resources you do not have access to!"
I thought that might be interesting to know next time anyone needs a screen. I will let you know what sort of job they do of it.
