fual pump problem 16v

my 1991 16v probe seem to not get fual to the engine
so what best to check and if i need to replace how would i do that
i saw older car you could access from back seat but seem not on my one lol
so am asking do i need to drop the fual tank to check the pumb or not

You have to take the tank out.
