While trying to start 16v that had stood for a bit.
It back fired through the air box
.
So much so, it blew the top off, & damage the MAF
Plus set fire to the air filter
It didn't help because I had sprayed some brake cleaner in the intake.
So, why
My thoughts are that I've got an Inlet valve stuck open

Thats a strange one perhaps to much cleaner down the air box and hadnt evaporated
off the Maf before starting its highly flammable
Did you clean the Maf off the car and refit before starting or just spray into the air box and start
