When changing the sump, do I need a basket of just RTV?

You, ( or someone’s) has asked this question before
I’ve only used sealant, before.
It’s not under pressure, so just make sure the mating surfaces are clean & flat

I’ve only used sealant, before.
It’s not under pressure, so just make sure the mating surfaces are clean & flat
