Well done mate new it would be there some where around there tucked away so should tick over
better now if you repace the copper washers on the fuel rails warm them up abit and there crush better
if you take all the banjo bols out the ends of the fuel rails and do the lot take (note) there different
jets installed
Kev
Thanks Kev. Much appreciated.
Fixed the little fuel weep. Just seemed a tight stiff bolt. Took it out and cleaned it up then re-inserted and all tightened up nicely. I suspect it has never been out or removed since new until recently. Can't see any fuel weeping now and seems good. Will keep an eye open though to make sure. Don't want any fuel leaks!
So after fully back together and MAF plugged in, its on the button and sounds good. Nice even idle now. Bit tappy from the top/back but seems outside the engine so will see if this eases over time. I guess all systems will be a bit off initially as by all accounts it hasn't run much or at all for many years. Sounds really good though so positive start.
Exhaust seems knackered I reckon as plenty of fumes coming from the centre/underneath. I'll look to replace the whole exhaust as even dry stored for 20 years I can't see how it will be in perfect shape. Not expensive to replace I expect.
So a fairly long list of standard work/consumables to re-commission to get it up to scratch. Then MOT time. Shouldn't take me too long to go through.
