Rear crash sensor

Post by CharlesUK » Sun Nov 03, 2024 9:10 am

Once again am trying to resolve a code 13, car has been fine and daily driven, but yesterday an hour into a journey developed code 13. From what I can tell a rear sensor short will also flash code 13, but can’t find anything about its location! Any ideas where to find it?

Airbag, although I have now found my front left crash sensor shows resistant for a second and then goes to null. So presuming I have found my fault there.

Go to the passenger foot well / behind the the glove box. Find the blue/orange air bag connectors.
Pull them apart, clean etc put them back together. Should do the trick.

I have this code, at times with the Timberline.

The front crash sensor is behind the dash, on the bulk head. The dashboard has to be removed to get to it. Not the easiest of jobs :o
