FMTTM cambelt

Post by mojo98 » Fri Feb 10, 2023 3:44 pm

After working on the car earlier in the week, with the help of Paul, who came to help me with the alternator engine bracket
We tried to remove the water pump but had to leave it due to the bolts every tight (didn't want to snap the bolts).
Tried by myself but just couldn't get the belt to go on tried 3 times, Paul was going to come back today, but yesterday when I did it in the correct way, it went on, but whoever work on this car before I got it, doesn't know what a torque whench is, because every bolt took all my strength to removed them. On installation all bolts have been torque up correctly
New power steering bracket fit, all auxiliary belts fitted, radiator refilled. Car started up ok and ran OK.
Will tax it 1st of March ready for the NEC
