I have read a lot of advice on which type of oil to use either synthetic or semi synthetic and the effect they can have on engine seals.
Is it therefore ok to use 5w-30 fully synthetic.

It certainly is for a 24v, not sure re a 16v .

Personally I use 10-40 semi synthetic. Pretty sure this is the recommended for 16v.
