It looks a bit like a "button" or "lever" that you would see on a door card, but it doesn't look 100% Ford Probe to me?

Looks like a wiper clip to me, the kind you get on the modern 'flat blades'. Could be an adaptor to make the flat blade design fit the hook fitting on the Probe too. Previous owner maybe?

Don't lose it !
That is the piece that fits into the very end of the trim on each side of the tailgate.

Could you explain in more detail where you mean?He had to rewire rear lights so that may explain it.He is very tidy but I had so many car parts in my car boot it may have got knocked off.

Wiper blade adapter also likely as I had two spare flatvblide wipers in my boot. As,I was so short one package split when I took parts out the boot so may have fell out.
I will investigate tommorow and look for namevon part too ehen I haveca better light.
Whatever I will hang on to it until I figure it out.
Found these too which were probably from previous owner.Just shows how well he valeted my car as I never do.
Cheers guys.I tell you he was so thorough and cheap too.The amount of work he did on it for next to nothing. He even welded the 2 rings either side of fexi hose front downpipe that were swinging away and having a party.
