You have the right rotor there,the symbol on the top shows the correct fitting(triangular shape)
look at the dissy where the rotor fits and fit correctly as you can force the rotor on the wrong way

Seems to be fitted right, won't fit the other ways anyways, still not starting tho...

Have you a picture showing the dissy fitted with the plugs connected,also the air box with the
air flow unit fitted,try to get the crank sensor plug apart for a clean though,has it deffo got fuel
to the injectors as the cut off switch in the boot may need resetting

I'm in Mid Devon 
Also will try get a picture of everything after work, just to make everything worse one of the screws holding the distributor cap has decided to snap and the threaded end is now stuck. I have some spare but no idea how to get it out...

Have you tried a spare key
as may be a key fault to the temic system
