Radio locked out

Post by paulp » Mon Mar 21, 2022 8:20 pm

My radio ( rds 2007 ) isn't working, tried putting the code in & it comes up no 10, which apparently means someone's put the wrong code in 10 times & now its locked itself. Having took the radio out the code on top is different to the one i have in the owners manual so that's an explanation as to why this has happened. My question is, is there a way to reset without having to go to a ford garage ?
Second option is to fit an aftermarket radio, one with bluetooth connectivity, we have an adaptor lead for the power supply but no lead for the cable that goes to the amplifier, has anyone any experience in doing this, & can you get an adaptor cable for this lead ?
Thanks, Paul

You can try this link?

Tried this Trev, with no effect, & reckon its gonna cost me at least £50 to get the radio unlocked at a dealer, so as i already had a new head unit i've decided to go down the aftermarket route, that way i can have bluetooth & hands free, but i'll keep the original radio & might even get it unlocked at a later date.

Ford’s unlocking a radio
They gave up on Probe a long time ago.
There take your money, & give you nothing in return
