if you can find a reg for a Mazda MX6 (ebay or autotrader etc) go to a Mazda dealer and ask them,they should be able to help

Hi,
Did you use a RTV sealant when you replaced the gaskets?
Did you tighten the cover correctly, and not over tighten it?
Maybe it might be an idea to replace the rocker cover as well, as it might e out of alinement?
As for can you get these running smoothly, in a word "yes"

If I remember Bob's reply correctly, you have to do a lots of other stuff before you notice any real difference from doing anything with the flywheel, plus I don't think that it's going to make it a performance car!

It sounds like the immobiliser has already been removed, if there are just some wires, hopefully they have been connected together correctly and still have good contact. It might pay to check the joints?
I also agree with Malcolm about the dizzy being faulty.
