I feel that we need more information.
What do they mean that it is over fuelling
Does it start, but won’t tick over
Have they done anything to it prior to this happening
Are the plugs getting wet, because it’s not burning the fuel?

Based on what the oracle is saying, I believe that you need to check all of the connections and earth points, but i would disconnect the battery first and leave it for 5 minutes or so, just to be safe, check it all and reconnect the battery

Without looking at one, I am led to think that the switch is all part of the steering wheel stalks, but I could be wrong.

Do you mean the connector for the lights or the motors? Are they probe specific?
