My Haynes manual says they have got drums, haven’t ever looked at one in person though.
Take it from us, the U.K. 16v doesn't have drums, and why would you want to fit them?

First - WHY????

Second - I never realised 16 valves have drum brakes
They don't, which is why a 16v has ABS the same as a 24v

Actually, what is a clock spring?? Haha easy to fix?
Thanks
It's a unit that sits behind the steering wheel, and enable such things like Airbag, Cruise control and horn to work whilst moving the wheel about.

Google Clockspring and you should find one.

Does your horn work?

Re: Cruise stopped working

Is it possible that it’s all tied in with your airbag issue, as it all goes through the steering wheel, could the clock spring be playing up?

Re: Normal or modified exhaust?

It does look like a mild steel one to me, but I guess depending on the manufacture it could some very different. Is it your first 24v, because it might just be that you are not familiar with the some of a 24v?

Re: Steering wheel control buttons

Kevin,

Where have you seen a Probe steering wheel that has both cruise and radio volume, as it's not something that I have seen before.

As for asking questions on here, you carry on, as your MX6, is our close cousin 8-)

Check the brake fluid first, because if it's a bit low it will give the same result. if it is, the n...
