You will need to remove the whole panel, which is never as easy as it sounds

Start in the boot, take off the panels, work your way forward.
Don't try & remove the speaker panel first, you will break it

UK cars have them built in to the headlight motors iirc

Iirc, the pully for the belt is different between the 16v & the 26v

Just replace the bearing in the old one

If that was the original gas spring it has done well.

That's on the 24v
With the 16v it's a coil wire spring.

Just replace the bearing in the pully.
Knock the old one out, & press the new one in
