Re: no start 2.5 24v 1994

As people have said , probably is the CPS but do REALLY check the plug /socket connections properly.
The CPS is a very rugged device and is hard to break.

Re: No start.

Just a reminder to all .
NEVER , NEVER , NEVER try to test the system with a plug lead disconnected.
Best way to kill a good dissy I can think of , after gross overheating.

Re: Side lights

Back to this light issue.
Position 1 on the stalk switch , energises K52 relay.
K52 only has one set of contacts , IF they are closed ., 12 volts goes to two fuses , one fuse for front lights, the other for rear lights
Also feeds to instrument panel lights , licence plate.

Re: Side lights

The headlights are working , so the relay to the park lights , etc should be made , only one set of contacts out to a common distribution point to ALL the other items.
Check for loose connection / spade off / etc.

Re: Side lights

Wiring diagram says Fuse Relay K52 Off / Park / Headlight position switch That's it. Select park and the K52 relay is energised. That should feed ALL of the stuff that is NOT working. Select Headlight , K52 and another relay is energised to feed headlights. . So , fuse /relay/switch .......

VSS the unit that creates the pulse that goes to the cruise control and speedometer.
Easy to swap over , when the gearbox is out.

Re: Fuel tank removal

Remember to REVERSE the bolt/nut holding the transverse arms when the tank is out.
Cos you can't get it out when the tank is in position.
