For future reference,anyone who needs it : 1 pull out then pull up the little white clip & it comes off 2 you can then turn the part with arrow on 180degrees This frees the cable 3 slightly pull on cable before spring ( to take off the slack) While holding cable turn the black part with arrow on 180...

throttle cable

upon finishing the fuel filter ( what a nasty job that was ) :roll:
i have some slack on the throttle cable & cant figure out this locking mechanism to tighten it
does someone know how to release it so can make adjustment ??

Fuel pump relay

Hi all, need to change my fuel filter, I remember there was a relay in fusebox under bonnet that releived the fuel pressure prior to changing filter, can someone tell me which one it is as can’t remember from last time,thanks 😎

i learnt this the hard way 16 years ago, the one with a 440mm cat has a shorter mid pipe, the one with a 400mm cat has a longer pipe, the number i wrote down for reference is FE569

Ive put led in my sidelights & led side indicators it passed the past 2 MOTs i looked into upgrading to led on the main driving lights & full beam but as you say its illegal :( cause of the beam pattern. shame as our headlights are not too good for night driving. i wired in a second set of led spotl...

The description you said sounds exactly the same as mine has always been for the last 14 years, so i will say all ok :) you will also hear that whirring abs sound when you slam the brake pedal down very hard ( in a emergency stop) thats the pump operating, stopping the wheels from locking up & skidd...

The boot light isn't connected to the CPU at all, just a plain 12v feed and switched to earth at the latch. All a short or overload would do in the boot is blow the Fuse. The CPU blow was probably a short in the footwell lights ok thanks, think that will be my first port of call as im getting a pos...
