It could be the actual Crank Position Sensor that is faulty.

I believe that a VAF has already been suggested and I’m sure Duncan has a spare, But if it doing it when hot I would also suggest that the Fizzy is on its way out. If you can get another one to try it’s probably worth it. Im assuming Fizzy was meant to say Dissy? Id have to order another one to see...

I believe that a VAF has already been suggested and I’m sure Duncan has a spare,
But if it doing it when hot I would also suggest that the Fizzy is on its way out. If you can get another one to try it’s probably worth it.

Do you have any to compare, so you can see where they clip on to, is it the front or sides, then you could use a flat blade screwdriver to help to release them

Hi John, I would also say that your dizzy is a S3. Where have you tried to source the parts? I believe ( I’m no expert on 16v’s) that there are only 2 types of dizzy cap, one for each type of dizzy S1 or S3, so if the one you are looking at matches yours then I would say it will fit.
