Re: Can’t hear fuel pump prime

I turn the ignition on and can’t hear the fuel pump prime and heard a rumour that it only primes as the engine cranks not when the ignition is turned on just wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction thanks Is there a reason why you are hoping to hear the fuel pump? Re: Low idle and missfire

coming off the back of Malcolm's reply, have you checked that all the VAC pipes are connected, have you disturbed any of them. Do you have a standard air-box, or have you fitted a cold air intake, have you checked any and all of the pipes other than water pipes?

Re: No hot air

Not quite the same issue but thought I'd ask on the same topic...Mine blows hot air but is only really hot when you're driving/revving the engine, as soon as you stop at drop to idle it cools off incredibly quickly, within seconds. And vice versa when you rev, the air changes to hot within seconds....

I took the maf of my 1995 which ran completely fine and put it on the 1997 and it had no change is the tps different on each model because I might try swapping everything over
I don't believe it is, you can check, but I still believe that the dizzy is a good option, it normally is!

Re: Low idle and missfire

1995 & 1997 dizzy’s are different
Do you know that the Maf or Vaf ( I can never remember) is a good working replacement

Re: Low idle and missfire

Has the timing belt been changed or anything adjusted?
Do you know if the TPS has been moved?
If you have only replaced the dizzy cap and rotor then you need to replace the actual dizzy, because you will probably find that the ignition module is breaking down.

Re: No hot air

Behind the dash
Have you tried to flush the heater matrix with a hose, connect it straight to one of the pipes that comes from inside the car just in front of the passenger side in the engine bay and let it run out the other one.
