That arrangement still looks strange to me, but maybe it's just a different manufacture?
When I can and If I remember, i will try to look at some of mine :o

Hopefully it's sorted now 8-)

Re: Rear calliper/handbrake rebuild

Maybe the nut should be fitted into the piston, which would allow the piston to be screwed on to the post in the body?

Re: Rear calliper/handbrake rebuild

I am still at a slight loss in respect to the nut, when you look at the piston, is there a threaded part which the that shaft in your drawing will screw into, because all I ever remember in the body is a circlip, which can be a pain to get out, but has to be removed to renewal the seals, unless your...

Re: Rear calliper/handbrake rebuild

I have to admit that it's not the best picture to see what you are referring to! From what I can remember, I don't remember the nut you are talking about, from what I can remember, you fight with the seals and pistons, then once pushed in by hand, it should meeting the shaft in the centre, which you...

Hard to believe my 8 SIDED one doesn’t fit Thanks :) You need an Allen key ( not sure of the size) that fits in to the...

Re: Rear calliper/handbrake rebuild

Only an Oriental mind could have designed the rear brake assembly. Work or fail is entirely down to the condition of the lip seal around that shaft connected to the handbrake cable. Here it comes Trev. You need to pack your strip of ..............DENSO tape round that shaft to give the lip seal a f...

Re: Rear calliper/handbrake rebuild

The piston is wound in and out, by means of the adjuster, which is accessed via the small bolt on the back (12mm head), use an Allen Key to make the adjustments. If you put in the Allen Key and it does nothing, then check that it's actually in there. As for final adjustment, different people have di...

Re: no start 2.5 24v 1994

It could be the actual Crank Position Sensor that is faulty.
