Has the timing belt been changed or anything adjusted?
Do you know if the TPS has been moved?
If you have only replaced the dizzy cap and rotor then you need to replace the actual dizzy, because you will probably find that the ignition module is breaking down.

Have you tried to flush the heater matrix with a hose, connect it straight to one of the pipes that comes from inside the car just in front of the passenger side in the engine bay and let it run out the other one.

As your car is a 1996, it is very likely it is a S3 distributor ( dizzy)
It should say on the side of the dizzy and if the caps match even better.

Not sure, it’s a separate black fob with a button to unlock and a panic button. I wasn’t aware of a factory option but have seen some people talking about the online? Charles We may need pictures, UK models didn't get factory fitted keyless entry, that was only the US (I believe). Even if they did,...

As mentioned by Mr Moo, there is no adaptor that works with an OBD2 reader. If you want to look at codes in the future, look in the Oracle as it gives you all the details you need.
