Re: 24v over fueling

Does anyone have a pic of the factory original O2 sensors?

I've found 3(!) but one has a fat slotted shield on the gas end and two have a smaller ends with punched holes.
I don't want to reuse buggered sensors

Re: Window regulator

In your opinion which are the better? Early or late?

Re: 24v over fueling

I'd be interested in the outcome, especially the over fuelling bit. Mine has always smelt rich, but this year is the first year it actually failed on CO. Last year it was high lambda, yet we got it down by shoving a rag in one of the tailpipes!

Re: Late 24v catalyst

Thanks kit and andy, I was thinking of buying a new one and maybe de-catting and refitting it for MOT time. I have a pair of new 02 sensors here thanks andy

Re: 24v over fueling

It may have a spark outside the engine, but inside the cylinder conditions, it could well be very weak. Could be failing coil, timing out, or even HT leads in wrong order, I can't remember if there is a pressure regulator on them, could be failed injectors or they are being kept open all the time, T...

Late 24v catalyst

Greetings all, MOT scrape through yet again on emissions and the CO wouldn't go below .06. The tester said the ECU is doing its job but the catalytic converter should get it down to below .03. I'm needing a new cat, 1997 late 24v, can someone remind me of the size and possibly where to source one? I...

It doesn't bounce uncontrollably but the shocks may have weakened

Crashy rear suspension

Hi all, I'm after a few ideas on why my rear suspension is so hard. Shocks seem ok, no leaks, it is lowered about 20mm, but my old probe was lowered this much and wasn't as bad. More noticeable over sharp ruts in the road/ the odd unavoidable pothole. Almost like it's riding on the bump-stops, but i...

Re: ABS headache

Hi I missed this, sorry! I used a multi meter and checked the resistance on all the sensors at the abs module behind the rear trim panel on the (British) passenger side, by putting the multimeter across the two wires of each sensor. 3 sensors were fine but the rogue sensor showed infinite resistance...
