Here's the pics of damage and rust.... Mech said it would've had to have been practically glowing hot to do that to the cam and would've been y the bot came loose. Two places that I know of that'd need sorting for the MOT... Bracket holding exhaust on has rusted so would need welding, might be a hole in the exhaust, but not a big job as far as I know. Second is in the engine bay, not structural but would need doing for the MOT I beleive - will get a pic of it ...

Hi all, I just wanted to thank everyone for their help, I've learnt alot just through this! The sad news is however the engine is too damaged to repair and I don't have the funds for it, i can post pics of what we know is damaged etc (havent seen the pistons). So...I really don't want to scrap it as...

Right how would I know if the engine hasn't seized? Or do you have to look at the pistons to know for sure

Thanks, I've texted Andy and looks like he has the parts. I am getting a little worried as my mots in June, mechs busy for a month and got alot more to sort for it. Before we knew it was the timing, the engine wouldn't actually start but I can see the rotor arm moved so assuming it hadn't siezed? My...
