Any one have or know of a low milage secondand hand 16V engine suitable for a 1997 car , or a suitable low milage block ? Head been skimmed , head done less than a month ago on mine and still it smokes , been pricing piston kits … oversized as will need a rebore , car has now been off road over 1 ye...

Thank you Fanman , they have rings , but no pistons that I can see , although I am not sure of part no’s , worried i am not going to be able to get

Hi all , so my car requires a set of pistons and rings , it’s a 1997 16V , Reg No R374 YMB , can someone advise as to where to purchase please or anyone that may have for sale please , car has been off road almost a year now , mechanic ready to do job when we can source parts . So after months of being laid up my car has had the cylinder head stripped and machined , exhaust valves de coked , new valve stem oil seals , valves all refaced and valve seats recut , new gasket etc and a new set of leads , car is starts instantly and idles smooth , mechanic before he brought car ...

Yes , garage will be changing engine …. If I can find a suitable one , do you know which years would be ok for mine without having to change other parts ?
